SANTO DOMINGO. – El ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, aseguró que, pese al impacto de la pandemia en la economía, el Gobierno ha logrado mantener la estabilidad de los productos agrícolas, y trabaja en soluciones para armonizar aquellos cuya producción requiere de insumos internacionales.
El titular de la cartera agropecuaria sostuvo que la población tiene asegurada la alimentación. Dijo que se está monitoreando de manera constante los precios de la canasta básica, a fin de garantizar que los alimentos lleguen a precios justos a la mesa de la población.
“Aun como hemos encontrado este país sumergido en una pandemia, que no es culpa de nadie, sin embargo, nosotros hemos enfrentado la situación con trabajo, con entrega de títulos, con educación, por lo que entiendo que este país va por buen camino”, indicó.
Explicó que los productos agrícolas como la papa, plátano, ajo, cebolla, zanahoria, entre otros, han bajado de precio, y solo los que dependen de insumos externos como el pollo, huevo y cerdo han sufrido variaciones.
El ministro Cruz habló al ser abordado por los periodistas tras participar en el Palacio Nacional en un acto donde el presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, entregó 274 certificados de títulos de viviendas a igual número de familias de Villa Altagracia, como parte del plan de titulación que desarrolla el Gobierno en todo el país.
