Ministerio de Agricultura e INFOTEP acuerdan capacitar técnicos en alta tecnología para el sector agropecuario

Santo Domingo.- El Ministerio de Agricultura y el Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP) aúnan esfuerzos para la implementación de un proyecto de capacitación técnica y profesional de alta tecnología para los sectores agrícola, pecuario, pesquero, agroindustrial y de acuacultura, entre otros.

Ambas instituciones firmaron un acuerdo mediante el cual se comprometieron a apoyar los procesos de capacitación, automatización y tecnología de punta para mejorar y diversificar la producción y la calidad de los productos agrícolas y del mar, dando sostenibilidad a los ecosistemas.

El director General del INFOTEP, Rafael Santos Badía, destacó que, mediante este acuerdo, la institución impulsará su oferta formativa de cara a los cambios inherentes a la Revolución Industrial 4.0, a fin de responder a las actuales necesidades del sector agropecuario.

De su lado, el Ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, resaltó que los programas de capacitación que iniciarán junto al INFOTEP revisten alta prioridad en el mejoramiento de los servicios que presta ese Ministerio a los agricultores dominicanos y con ello en el desarrollo de la agropecuaria nacional.

El acuerdo será de alcance para todo el país y abarca programas de capacitación, orientados al Manejo de Drones, Agrobótica, Agromática, Agrometeorología, Manejo de Base de Datos, uso de las Tecnologías de la información y Comunicación (TIC), Seguridad Alimentaria 4.0, Riego y Drenaje 4.0, Agricultura de Precisión, Agroecología, Permacultura y Biotecnología, entre otras acciones formativas. 

De igual manera, tanto el Ministerio de Agricultura como INFOTEP se comprometieron a desarrollar proyectos e iniciativas de investigación y estudios que sirvan de apoyo a las áreas identificadas como claves.

El convenio tendrá una duración de dos años, renovable, y establece programas de capacitación que irán en consonancia con las transformaciones de la industria 4.0, lo que permitirá lograr, mantener y ampliar la competitividad tanto para el mercado local como para el de exportación.

Tanto el INFOTEP como el Ministerio de Agricultura identificarán las necesidades de desarrollo de acciones formativas y proyectos de apoyo a emprendedores y micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (mipymes), a fin de responder a los requerimientos de la mano de obra del sector.

El INFOTEP ofrecerá el servicio de validación, conforme a las normas y procedimientos institucionales, a todos los candidatos presentados por el Ministerio de Agricultura, a fin de certificar a todo el que concluya con éxito los procedimientos y pruebas de evaluación requeridos. 

Por su parte, el Ministerio de Agricultura proveerá al personal docente del INFOTEP, experiencias prácticas y actualización de nuevas tendencias y conocimientos en materia del sector de la agricultura y agropecuaria, entre otras áreas de interés.

Conjuntamente, evaluarán la gestión de captación de fondos vía cooperación internacional para proyectos de interés mutuo, con miras al fortalecimiento del sector, incluyendo estudios, iniciativas, talleres y jornadas.

Otras acciones formativas

Como parte del acuerdo, el INFOTEP capacitará a técnicos en las áreas de: Agricultura Urbana, Agricultura Vertical, Sistemas de Información Geográfica para la Agricultura, Elaboración de Abonos Orgánicos, Agroindustria, que incluye Procesamiento de productos lácteos, cárnicos y vegetales, Administración de Fincas, Inseminación Artificial, Invernaderos, Cultivos Hidropónicos, Acuicultura y Piscicultura, entre otros.

Para todas estas acciones formativas, el INFOTEP proveerá formación y capacitación a los colaboradores del Ministerio de Agricultura, a fin de dotarles de las habilidades técnicas y gerenciales necesarias, con el propósito de elevar la calidad de los servicios provistos, así como asesoría y asistencia técnica en las áreas vinculadas con la Gestión del Conocimiento.

Recientemente el INFOTEP inauguró su Centro de Capacitación Agroforestal 4.0 Forestal y Pecuario en la provincia Monseñor Nouel, cuya docencia inició este lunes, con la cifra récord de más de 1,700 solicitantes, a los fines de incrementar la capacidad instalada para formar técnicos con mayor nivel de cualificación que respondan a las necesidades del sector, el cual contará con el apoyo del Ministerio de Agricultura.
