Durante la tarde del pasado lunes se dio a conocer a tres jugadores que participarán del concurso de mates del Fin de Semana de Estrellas, y algunas horas atrás salieron varios reportes de atletas que decidieron declinar la invitación de la NBA para este evento.

Entrando directamente con los integrantes de cada evento, en el Desafío de Habilidades participarán Robert Covington de los Trail Blazers, Luka Doncic de los Mavericks, Chris Paul de los Suns, Julius Randle de los Knicks, Domantas Sabonis de los Pacers, y Nikola Vucevic de los Magic. Mientras que en el Concurso de Triples los participantes serán Devin Booker de los Suns, Jaylen Brown de los Celtics, Stephen Curry de los Warriors, Zach LaVine de los Bulls, Donovan Mitchell de los Jazz, y Jayson Tatum de los Celtics.
Por el lado del Concurso de Mates, sólo habrá tres participantes que fueron anunciados durante el día de ayer. Estos son Anfernee Simons de los Trail Blazers, Cassius Stanley de los Pacers, y Obi Toppin de los Knicks. Mientras que el jurado que pondrá puntaje al desempeño de estos jugadores estará compuesto por todos campeones de este evento. Estos serán Dominique Wilkins, Josh Smith, Dee Brown, Spud Webb y Jason Richardson.
El Desafío de Habilidades y el Concurso de Triples tendrán su lugar como previa al Juego de Estrellas, mientras que el Concurso de Mates está programado para el medio tiempo de dicho partido.
