Gobierno ha reparado más de 10 mil viviendas afectadas por huracán Fiona

Santo Domingo.- El Gobierno del Presidente Luis Abinader ya ha reparado más de 10 mil viviendas afectadas por el huracán Fiona, fenómeno atmosférico que el mes pasado tocó tierra en República Dominicana, dejando daños en 12 provincias.

En una reunión de evaluación sobre los trabajos de reconstrucción ordenados por el jefe del Estado, se informó también que el 98 % de los servicios de agua potable y energía eléctrica, ya se habían restablecido.

Además, se dio a conocer que más de 400 kilómetros de vías de acceso han sido habilitadas, y un total de 30 metros cúbicos de escombros han sido recogidos, en cuya labor se han utilizado más de 250 vehículos pesados.

Con relación al sector agrícola, el Ministerio de Agricultura está entregando mil pesos por cada tarea de tierra afectada por el huracán Fiona, a los productores.

En el encuentro, se indicó que se procederá a la habilitación de los puentes afectados, así como los caminos vecinales de las provincias impactadas.

De igual modo, el Presidente Abinader dispuso la reparación de las viviendas que se encontraban en malas condiciones antes del paso del fenómeno meteorológico.

Las provincias afectadas por el huracán Fiona fueron Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Samaná, La Altagracia, La Romana, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Santiago, Duarte, La Vega y Santo Domingo.
