Santo Domingo. Tras el exitoso estreno que la convirtió en uno de los acontecimientos teatrales más impactantes del 2022, vuelve en febrero «La abuela del escorpión», una divertida puesta en escena que se adentra en los orígenes de la familia de un tirano para mostrarnos los avatares de una sociedad donde el abuso y el autoritarismo son la norma.

Basada en la novela «La cuna del escorpión» de Priscilla Velázquez Rivera, ganadora del premio Manuel de Jesús Galván 2021 y publicada por Ediciones Destino del Grupo Planeta, la obra cuenta con la dirección del reconocido teatrista Manuel Chapuseaux, quien ofrece un espectáculo poderoso, mezcla de ficción y narrativa histórica, aclamado por el público y la crítica especializada.

Con la estelar actuación de Clara Morel, el relato se adentra en el árbol genealógico de un terrible tirano, en la voz inesperada de su abuela. Deliciosa, exuberante y terrible, Silveria encarna la dualidad que existe en todo ser humano, presentándonos una serie de personajes reales violentos, procaces, abusivos, para confrontarnos ante un espejo de aterradora actualidad. ¿Dónde y cuándo se presenta?

“La abuela del escorpión” se presentará del jueves 16 al domingo 19 de febrero en la sala “La Dramática” del Palacio de Bellas Artes, con funciones a las 8:30 p.m. y domingo a las 6:30 p.m. La entrada tiene un costo de $ 700 pesos por persona, disponibles a la venta en Tix.do y en la boletería del teatro. Solo para mayores de 18 años.
