Vicepresidenta asegura gobierno no aprobará modificación para reducir la rigurosidad de formación docente

La vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña, aseguró que el gobierno dominicano no tiene en agenda modificar la Normativa 09-15 y que nunca realizaría acción alguna que vaya en detrimento de la calidad del sistema educativo.

Un comunicado de la Vicepresidencia explica que esta afirmación surge ante las noticias que han circulado sobre las modificaciones de la Normativa 09-15 para reducir la rigurosidad de la formación docente.

«El gobierno dominicano tiene el firme compromiso de dedicar los mayores esfuerzos a mejorar la calidad educativa, por eso nunca realizaremos alguna acción que vaya en detrimento de mejorar cada día más nuestro sistema educativo”, indicó la vicepresidenta. 

Peña manifestó que bajo ningún concepto se bajarán los estándares para la formación de docentes.

«Personalmente he sido docente toda mi vida, he dedicado años a formar desde las aulas un mejor país, y el presidente Luis Abinader y yo conocemos de primera mano el poder transformador de un sistema educativo de calidad y podemos asegurar que bajo ningún concepto se bajarán los estándares para la formación de docentes”, sostuvo.

Peña reiteró el compromiso de mantener la rigurosidad en la formación de los educadores y aclaró que “este gobierno ni ha bajado ni va a bajar los estándares, exigencias y rigurosidad de la formación de maestros y maestras”.

Adicionalmente la vicepresidenta aclaró que no se va a cambiar la Prueba de Aptitud Académica (PAA), ni tampoco se va a reducir el puntaje requerido para iniciar los estudios en carreras relacionadas a educación, por entender que esto eleva las competencias requeridas para la labor docente.
