Pedro Catrain entregó un cheque de $80,000 pesos como aporte para la realización del Torneo Provincial de Basket Superior.

El juego inaugural se realizó en el multiuso del municipio de Sánchez, dónde también dijo presente el director del distrito de Arroyo Barril, Luis Felipe Fermín, el alcalde de Sánchez Ynocencio De Jesús y el jefe de la policía del citado municipio.

Con la participación de 4 equipos representando a Santa Bárbara de Samaná, Arroyo Barril, Las Terrenas y Sánchez se dió apertura al evento deportivo.

«Me enorgullece seguir aportando al desarrollo del deporte en mi provincia para beneficio de nuestros jóvenes y futuras glorias del deporte en Samaná» enfatizó el senador Pedro Catrain.
