Danilo Medina entregó la avenida Ecológica, en Santo Domingo Este, obra de gran impacto para el tránsito en ese municipio y que beneficiará de manera directa a más de 25 mil residentes en sectores aledaños, informó la Presidencia de la República.
La avenida también facilitará el traslado de los lugareños hacia el Distrito Nacional y contribuirá a dinamizar la economía de la zona.
La comunicación de prensa de la Presidencia dice que con la avenida Ecológica también fue construido un puente que empalma con la vía que da acceso al sector Jerusalén, próximo al Hipódromo V Centenario, así como el distribuidor de la autopista Charles de Gaulle y la ampliación de la autopista de San Isidro.
“Asimismo, fue mejorado el distribuidor de la autopista Las Américas, avenida Hipódromo V Centenario y la entrada a la Ciudad Juan Bosch. Esta infraestructura consta de 10 kilómetros de longitud, desde Ciudad Juan Bosch hasta la Charles de Gaulle. Cuenta con cuatro carriles, paseos laterales, dos puentes, tres retornos operacionales, 16 accesos, entre otras facilidades para los conductores”, detalla la nota informativa.
La avenida Ecológica cuenta con seis carriles y está diseñada para que en un futuro se instale un expreso en el centro de la vía. El comunicado no dice el costo de la obra, pero informaciones publicadas anteriormente con declaraciones del exministro de Obras Públicas, Gonzalo Castillo, citan en 29 millones de dólares la inversión en esa vía.
Desde el acto de entrega realizado en la avenida Ecológica, el presidente Danilo Medina también dejó en funcionamiento, de manera simultánea, la carretera Jacagua-Palo Alto, en la provincia de Santiago.
Esta vía posee 16 kilómetros. Fue remodelada y asfaltada para beneficiar a 19 comunidades, cuyos habitantes tendrán facilidad para desplazarse y transportar sus productos a los mercados.
Igualmente, el jefe de Estado entregó el puente peatonal de la avenida John F. Kennedy con Máximo Gómez, en el Distrito Nacional.
