Santo Domingo.- El presidente Luis Abinader sostuvo un encuentro con periodistas de varios medios de comunicación del país con los cuales trató sobre diferentes temas.

Al inicio del encuentro el mandatario pidió a los comunicadores formular las preguntas que deseen, reiterándoles este es un gobierno abierto y que podían hacer el cuestionamiento que quisieran.

El mandatario dijo que su gobierno siempre está dispuesto al diálogo y a escuchar a todos los sectores.

También manifestó su esperanza de que entre el Ministerio de Educación y la Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP) se llegue a un acuerdo.

Temas como el de la migración haitiana, la valla en la frontera, la reforma policial, seguridad ciudadana, la reforma constitucional, el Ministerio Público independiente y la pandemia, fueron abordados con el presidente Abinader.

Los periodistas también preguntaron sobre el paro en el Cibao, las negociaciones entre ADP y el Ministerio de Educación, la incidencia del conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania en la economía, el alza de materia prima, los subsidios a combustibles, insumos agrícolas, la salud, cárceles, entre otros.

En el caso del paro en el Cibao, lamentó que de 106 demandas hechas por los huelguistas, no incluyeran profundizar la lucha contra la corrupción.

Citó las obras que está haciendo el gobierno en cada provincia del Cibao, algunas de las cuales tienen hasta 40 años solicitándose.

El presidente también preguntó a los comunicadores si han escuchado a alguien de la oposición plantear solución a algún problema, ya que solo formulan críticas.

El mandatario defendió su posición de que por ley se establezca que el Ministerio Público sea independiente, indicando que para eso quiere la reforma.

Añadió que,  no quería otra cosa y que tampoco iba a buscar a nadie, ni comprar a nadie, que debe ser algo de consenso, señalando que si no se hace cada quien cargue con su responsabilidad.

El presidente estuvo acompañado por la vicepresidenta Raquel Peña; los ministros, Administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza; de Interior y Policía, Chu Vásquez; de Industria y Comercio, Ito Bisonó y de agricultura, Limber Cruz.

También los directores del Servicio Nacional de Salud, Mario Lama; de Estrategia y Comunicación, Homero Figueroa y de Prensa del Presidente, Daniel Garcia Archibald; José (Pepe) Vila del Castillo, Comisionado Ejecutivo para la implementación de los planes, estrategias y políticas de transformación y profesionalización del cuerpo del orden.
