El titular de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascención, explicó de manera detallada que para los trabajos se realizaron dos cruces con tuberías de 42 pulgadas reforzadas, en un tramo de la vía cercano al Batey Bienvenido próximo al Puente sobre el río Manoguayabo, además se construyó un drenaje longitudinal soterrado, con una longitud de 600 metros lineales, en diámetros que arrancan en tubos de 36 pulgadas y terminan en 48 pulgadas, para garantizar una efectiva descarga de las abundantes escorrentías de la zona.
También agregó que en colaboración con la CAASD, se trabajó en las líneas de agua potable, cambiando las líneas de conducción de agua potable por sectores, debido al deterioro de las tuberías y otra por estar muy superficiales.
El funcionario destacó, que se realizó una intervención de 2.3 kilómetros con un ancho de ocho metros, que van desde Operaciones Especiales al Batey Bienvenido y al Puente Quita Sueño, para conectar con la autopista 6 de Noviembre, la Circunvalación Santo Domingo y próximamente con la Circunvalación Los Alcarrizos.
