Azua: El Instituto Agrario Dominicano (IAD) inició este viernes con éxito su primer precongreso regional en la provincia de Azua, con miras a la celebración del 60 aniversario de la institución, así como el inicio del proceso de transformación y reforma institucional.
El director general del IAD, Francisco Guillermo García, destacó que, “de estos precongresos se pretende llegar a conclusiones que permitan la transformación y cambio del IAD, que es convertir en empresarios agrícolas a cada uno de los parceleros que pertenecen a la entidad”.
Precisó, que es momento de empezar a superar los obstáculos que se han venido presentando desde la fundación de la institución, para así elevar la calidad de vida de los beneficiarios de la Reforma Agraria y sus familias y olvidarse de las viejas prácticas, a la vez, poner en ejecución planes de negocio que los ayuden a superarse económica y socialmente.
García manifestó que, con esta reforma institucional se quiere, además, convertir en cooperativas todas las asociaciones de parceleros, para de esta forma lograr que los beneficiarios de la Reforma Agraria puedan ver los avances obtenidos de las tierras que poseen.
De su lado, la gobernadora provincial, Angela Pérez, resaltó la gran labor que se viene realizando desde el IAD con la gerencia de García, con la que “el IAD está enfocado en estas reformas para la mejoría del campo, con la entrega de títulos se está desarrollando un gran proyecto de nación”.
Explicó que, con el inicio de este precongreso hoy en la provincia de Azua, se verá el nuevo proyecto de trabajo del IAD “y ustedes parceleros, productores y líderes de la región sur, son los protagonistas”.
Durante la actividad se desarrollaron diferentes temáticas con el objetivo de escuchar nuevas ideas que ayuden a la transformación y alternativas para el cambio institucional que contribuyan con el fortalecimiento y crecimiento del sector agropecuario.
Estuvieron presentes, José Cedeño, subdirector Administrativo y Financiero; Geovanny Wallace, asistente del director; Lover Vargas, gerente regional del IAD en Azua y Juan José Vicente, representante del alcalde, Ruddy González.
Además, los expositores, Ramón Porfirio Colón y Romer Arnaud, encargados de Producción y Desarrollo Social, respectivamente, Ramón Soto, encargado de Cooperación Internacional, Ana Araujo, Yexica Chía, Ángel Inoa, parceleros, líderes comunitarios, estudiantes agropecuarios, entre otros grupos de interés.
