INFOTEP conmemora natalicio de Duarte con panel sobre su vida y obra

El Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP) realizó, junto al Instituto Duartiano,  el panel “Duarte, Fundador de la República: Vida y Obra”, como parte de las actividades con las que conmemora el 208 aniversario del nacimiento del patricio Juan Pablo Duarte. 

Al pronunciar las palabras de introducción al panel, el director general del INFOTEP, Rafael Santos Badía, expuso que estas actividades tienen el propósito de valorizar y divulgar la obra y figura del fundador de la República,” exaltando su memoria en todo el amplio ámbito de docentes, alumnos, colaboradores, Centros Operativos del Sistema y los medios de difusión virtuales a lo largo y ancho de todo el país y el mundo”.

Destacó que en el mes de las Efemérides Patrias resulta de singular importancia la celebración de este panel, conducido por eminentes intelectuales y eruditos de la categoría de Wilson Gómez Ramírez, presidente del Instituto Duartiano, el general e historiador Demóstenes Félix Paniagua y el poeta Mateo Morrison.

Santos Badía consideró que no todo está dicho acerca de Juan Pablo Duarte y que muchas prendas de su valiosa vida aún siguen fluyendo como manantial de ejemplo, de valentía, de honor y de amor. 

“Algunas de estas hermosas gemas serán conversadas y divulgadas hoy, por estos distinguidos panelistas. Deber y privilegio de las presentes y futuras generaciones de la Patria, de las juventudes de hoy, mañana y siempre es mantener encendida la llama de gratitud, respeto y amor, honrando la vida y conservando como benéfica estampa ardiente en nuestra memoria, al glorioso autor de la dominicanidad”, expresó el director general del INFOTEP. 

En el panel, fueron expuestos los temas  “Duarte, su personalidad y el Duarte político”, a cargo de Wilson Gómez Ramírez, “El Duarte restaurador, el militar y ocaso de su vida”,  por el general retirado de la Policía Nacional Demóstenes Félix, mientras que el poeta Mateo Morrison, abordó el tema sobre “Duarte y la poesía”.

En su exposición, Gómez Ramírez, presidente del Instituto Duartiano, valoró a Duarte como fundador del Estado y destacó los principales aspectos del proyecto de Constitución que suscribió, en el que se refiere a la preservación de la ciudadanía, la existencia política de este país como nación y  a la no retroactividad de la ley, como garantía de la seguridad jurídica.

También citó de ese tratado, lo relativo a la inamovilidad de los jueces  y los derechos y garantías individuales

Wilson Gómez Ramírez dijo que Duarte fue un hombre apegado a la legitimidad. Expuso su preocupación sobre el uso indebido del Escudo Nacional en diferentes instituciones.  

El general Demóstenes Félix Paniagua destacó que Duarte fue un hombre de acción, consciente de que la libertad y el orden descansan sobre el cañón del fusil. Habló sobre su vida militar; sobre su partida a Venezuela, su regreso y posterior salida del país hacia la nación sudamericana, donde finalmente, murió.

Félix Paniagua dijo que ante los difíciles momentos que se vive hoy en el país,  hay que tener fe en el Estado Dominicano y tener presente las tres palabras esculpidas por los padres de la Patria: Dios, Patria y Libertad.

El poeta Mateo Mórrison, quien analizó el tema sobre Duarte y la poesía, señaló que para que haya independencia nacional en un país tiene que haber antes independencia cultural y destacó el papel que jugó la poesía en ese período.

“Tenemos el privilegio de tener a un poeta como Padre de la Patria, una persona con total conciencia de la literatura”, resaltó.  

Mórrison  citó el poema de Juan Pablo Duarte sobre la Independencia, en el que recoge la tristeza ante la expulsión del país de los independentistas por traidores a la patria. También refirió cómo Duarte unió la épica y la lírica e hizo referencia al  análisis de varios poetas nacionales a la obra literaria de Duarte.

Las actividades conmemorativas del natalicio de Duarte incluyeron también una ofrenda floral y la firma de un convenio entre el INFOTEP y el Instituto Duartiano.
