Indocal advierte no requiere pagos adicionales a inspectores en bombas de combustibles

 Santo Domingo, D.N.- El director del Instituto Dominicano para la Calidad (Indocal), Lorenzo Ramírez, advirtió que ningún técnico de esa institución requiere de pagos adicionales para las labores de inspección en las bombas de combustible, en aras de verificar si se cumplen los reglamentos de medición para el expendio de carburantes al público.

Ramírez aseguró, a su vez,  que tampoco está permitido otorgar ¨dádivas¨ a los inspectores de la entidad,  tras considerar que ¨quienes incurren en esta práctica podrían estar cometiendo un acto doloso, y, en consecuencia,  podrían ser sometidos a la acción de la justicia¨.

Explicó que el proceso de pago para la verificación de dispensadores de combustible se realiza vía administrativa en la sede de la institución.

Entrevistado en el programa En el Foco con Holi Matos que se transmite a través de la plataforma digital de El Nuevo Diario TV,  el funcionario recordó que la Ley 41-08 de Función Pública prohíbe  a los servidores públicos solicitar, aceptar o recibir ventajas o beneficios en dinero o en especie, por facilitar a terceros  la adquisición de bienes y servicios del Estado.

En caso de reportes de violación a la norma, Ramírez llamó a realizar las denuncias a través de los canales disponibles en la institución.

Por mandato de la Ley 166-22, que establece y regula el Sistema Dominicano para la Calidad,  el Indocal, mediante el Departamento de Metrología Legal, es la autoridad responsable de controlar y garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de los instrumentos de medida involucrados en las diferentes actividades  comerciales que se realizan en el territorio nacional.

Con la finalidad de garantizar la transparencia en el proceso de pesaje de los productos adquiridos por el consumidor, el Indocal ejecuta un programa de verificación de balanzas en los establecimientos comerciales del país, incluida las estaciones de combustibles, para asegurar que el volumen del despachado sea el mismo que contrata el usuario.
