El director interino del Instituto Agrario Dominicano (IAD), ingeniero Danilo del Rosario afirmó que en colaboración con el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente están trabajando para reubicar a los productores que fueron desalojados de Valle Nuevo, en Constanza en el 2016.
“Hemos localizado 33 mil 682 tareas de tierras en los distritos catastrales 17 y 02 de la provincia de La Vega, para evaluar cuáles de esas tierras califican para la producción agrícola y cuáles pudieran entregarse en compensación a una gran parte de los afectados o a todos, como es la voluntad del presidente Luis Abinader”, manifestó Del Rosario.
En otro orden, explicó que la prioridad esta gestión es el estudio que se está ejecutando para llegar a una reforma institucional en el IAD, que la haga operativa y proactiva, al tiempo que contribuya a levantar el sector rural.
En ese sentido, el funcionario indicó que solamente 215 asentamientos de 582 que tiene la Reforma Agraria funcionan exitosamente, siendo estos los cooperativizados en el área de banano y arroz; el resto de los asentamientos están siendo sometidos a una reevaluación de su operatividad .
Asimismo, destacó que la entidad tiene un compromiso presidencial de entregar en este año 4 millones de tareas de tierras preparadas para la producción de alimentos.
Estas declaraciones fueron ofrecidas en el programa matutino “El Día”, que se transmite de lunes a viernes por Telesistema, canal 11.
