José Ignacio Paliza presidente del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) y ministro administrativo de la Presidencia, advirtió hoy que esa organización no puede llevar como presidente de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE) a un dirigente político.
Pese a reconocer las cualidades del exmiembro del organismo comicial Eddy Olivares, Paliza entiende que si el PRM ha abogado por una JCE al margen de los partidos políticos, ahora no puede abandonar ese postulado.
“Hemos sufrido en el último proceso electoral el duro peso de tener una Junta que no fue producto de la objetividad que debió tener desde su inicio y tradicionalmente la institucionalidad democrática del país se ha ido deteriorando, como consecuencia de la imposición de un grupo. Mi opinión personal es que nosotros debemos movernos hacia la independencia de la Junta Central Electoral manteniendo coherente nuestro discurso”, precisó.

En ese sentido, consideró que bajo ninguna circunstancia esa organización puede fallar a lo que ha sido su línea tradicional sobre la independencia de los órganos institucionales.
“Yo apuesto a la independencia de la Junta Central Electoral y de otros órganos constitucionales que en los próximos meses deberán ser conformados”, manifestó.
Paliza dijo que aunque “el compañero Eddy Olivares es una personas de muchas condiciones, que desempeñó un rol de mucha vergüenza en la JCE y que trató de someter a ese organismo, siendo minoría, a las mejores prácticas y es una persona que goza del aprecio de mucha gente, no es esa la discusión, va más allá: este es un tema de enviar las señales de que haya tranquilidad en todos los actores políticos y haya un grado de independencia donde no se cuestionen los procesos venideros”.
Mañana en horas de la tarde la subdirección ejecutiva del PRM se reunirá para tratar el tema de la escogencia de los miembros de la Junta Central Electoral, indicó.
En otro orden, el funcionario defendió la modalidad de Alianza Público-Privada, con la que se pretende privatizar el Metro, la Oficina Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA) y el teleférico, lo que ha desatado críticas de diversos sectores de la sociedad.
“La modalidad público-privada es una modalidad nueva , producto de una ley que se aprobó hace apenas meses, tiene leyes que la regulan, no es un proceso entre un funcionario y un empresario, sino que es un proceso mucho más robusto y transparente que los que hemos tenido en el pasado”, explicó.
Señaló que lo que se busca es llegar a acuerdos entre el sector privado como el público sobre ciertos proyectos de infraestructuras, sin que el Estado pueda salir lesionado.
Resaltó que con las alianzas público-privadas se logra acaparar nuevas inversiones.
El presidente del PRM demandó hoy paciencia y prudencia de la base de esa organización, que luego de trabajar día y noche por el triunfo ahora no han sido tomados en cuenta por los funcionarios , que ni siquiera les toman las llamadas.
