Santo Domingo Este-. La Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este (EDE Este) avanza de forma acelerada los trabajos de rehabilitación de redes, normalización y mejoría del servicio de La Caleta, Boca Chica, realizados con una inversión de más US$5 millones, provenientes de un financiamiento del Banco Europeo de Desarrollo (BEI)
Al ofrecer esta información, la Dirección de Comunicación y Relaciones Públicas de EDE Este destacó que por esta labor, más de 46,650 habitantes de esa zona recibirán el servicio de energía eléctrica con la eficiencia y la calidad requerida.
Recordó que los acuerdos realizados por EDE Este, que es dirigida por su gerente general, Tomás Ozuna Tapia, con las comunidades donde son ejecutados proyectos de rehabilitación de redes y mejoría del servicio, con la mediación de sus líderes comunitarios, establecen que todos los hogares y comercios deben ser clientes para ser conectados a las nuevas líneas antifraudes.
Detalló que los trabajos han conllevado la instalación de 1,847 postes del tendido eléctrico, 49.50 kilómetros de redes de media y baja tensión, 204 transformadores y la normalización del servicio a 9,330 clientes.
Asimismo, la colocación de 1,525 lámparas, con lo cual EDE Este refuerza la seguridad ciudadana, mejora el ornato y la visibilidad de los conductores en horas nocturnas en las zonas beneficiadas con el proyecto.
Dijo que conjuntamente con la realización de los trabajos, el equipo de Gestión Social de EDE Este orienta a los habitantes de esos sectores sobre cómo hacer uso eficiente de la electricidad, para que su facturación sea menor.
Resaltó que la presente administración continúa realizando acciones para hacer más eficiente el servicio de electricidad en su área de concesión, que abarca el Distrito Nacional, desde la acera Este de la avenida Máximo Gómez, Santo Domingo Este, Santo Domingo Norte, Boca Chica, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Romana, La Altagracia y Monte Plata.
Recientemente fue realizado una actividad de celebración por la ejecución de este proyecto, encabezada por el encargado de Gestión Social-Proyectos, José Miguel Alejandro, y su equipo, con la participación del alcalde pedáneo de La Caleta, Ramón Cabrera López, en representación del director municipal de esa localidad, Marcial Reyes, y miembros de las juntas de vecinos de Los Sectores Unidos, quienes expresaron su agradecimiento por la anhelada obra.
