Diputados hacen reconocimiento póstumo a Víctor Víctor

Santo Domingo.- La Cámara de Diputados realizó un homenaje póstumo al cantautor y compositor Víctor José Víctor Rojas (Víctor Víctor) por su exitosa carrera artística y aportes al arte y la cultura nacional y poner en alto la bandera dominicana en playas extranjeras.
Durante la entrega del reconocimiento el presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Alfredo Pacheco, resaltó que el artista realizó grandes aportes no sólo a la República Dominicana, sino a toda América Latina.
“Es de gran orgullo para nosotros unirnos a todos ustedes con la finalidad de otorgar este merecidísimo reconocimiento póstumo a una figura que enaltece y engrandece a la República Dominicana”, expuso el legislador.
Manifestó que Víctor Víctor fue una persona que siempre luchó por las mejores causas de la humanidad, por lo cual aunque ya no está físicamente, perdurará “por los siglos de los siglos” siempre en el corazón de todos los dominicanos.
De su lado y en representación de la familia, Ian Víctor Ferreras, hijo del fenecido artista, agradeció a los diputados por el reconocimiento y señaló que es “un lujo” para ellos recibirlo en “nuestro Congreso Nacional”.
Definió a su padre como un buen amigo, como hermano el mejor de todos, excelente padre, hijo querido y premio al abuelo más divertido. También un incansable profesional.
“Para muchos fue un cantante romántico con mucho swin, un bohemio subversivo, pero para muchos otros fue un defensor de la democracia, embajador de nuestra cultura, fiel creyente en la juventud y un luchador por oportunidades para quienes no la tuvieron”, expuso Ian Víctor Ferreras.
En tanto que el proponente del reconocimiento, diputado Juan Dionisio Rodríguez Restituyo, resaltó entre las cualidades del artista su labor como gestor cultural, activista social e intérprete de notable influencia popular.
Señaló que Víctor Víctor no sólo fue un gran músico sino que estaba comprometido con los mejores intereses del país y tenía proyectos como el de enseñar a niños de diversos sectores populares, a los que les dedicaba mucho tiempo.
Citó la frase del artista: “Muero todas las noches y resucito en las mañanas, contra el poder por la paz es mi canto, no reconozco autoridad sobre mi a no ser la alegría y la libertad”.
El pergamino de reconocimiento fue entregado por Pacheco y Rodríguez Restituyo a la viuda, Zobeida Ferreras.
El creador de canciones como «Mesita de noche» falleció en julio del 2020 a consecuencia de complicaciones derivadas de la COVID-19.
Pavel Núñez, cantante y amigo de Víctor Víctor, interpretó una canción escrita por éste.
En la actividad participaron legisladores, parientes y amigos del artista reconocido póstumamente, entre ellos Olivo Rodríguez Huertas, ex embajador de la República Dominicana en España; y José Antonio Rodríguez, ex embajador dominicano ante la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (Unesco).
También dirigentes de diversos partidos políticos y exfuncionarios gubernamentales, entre otras personalidades.
