SANTO DOMINGO, RD. – La Cámara de Diputados declaró de urgencia y aprobó en dos sesiones un proyecto de ley que declara el día 16 de junio de cada año, como Día Nacional en honor María Trinidad Sánchez, la heroína y mártir de la Independencia Nacional.
La iniciativa, de la autoría de la diputada Priscila D´ Oleo, en su artículo dos manda que el Ministerio de Cultura tenga a su cargo coordinar todas las actividades relativas a la conmemoración de esta importante fecha, conjuntamente con el Ministerio de Educación, el Ministerio de Defensa, los ayuntamientos de la provincia María Trinidad Sánchez y todas las instituciones interesadas en promover los valores y obra de vida de esta heroína nacional.
Resolución inclusión Barahona
En la sesión de este jueves, los diputados aprobaron una resolución que solicita al presidente de la República tomar las medidas necesarias para incluir a la provincia de Barahona en los planes de desarrollo que implementará el gobierno para la región sur.
La iniciativa legislativa, de la autoría del diputado Manuel Miguel Florián, en uno de sus considerandos señala que, a pesar de la producción en el renglón agrícola, minero y ganadero, todavía la provincia mantiene un alto grado de marginación en término económico, producto del desempleo y la falta de políticas públicas que fomenten la inversión y la capacitación de los jóvenes para ser entes productivos.
También, los diputados refrendaron con el voto positivo una resolución que solicita al presidente de la República incluir una partida en el Presupuesto General del Estado para el año 2021, para la creación del Circuito Turístico Independencia, e incluir la provincia Independencia dentro del plan de desarrollo del polo turístico de Pedernales como destino complementario.
La iniciativa del diputado Gaddis Enríquez Cormorán, en uno de sus considerandos señala que los atractivos naturales y medio ambientales de la provincia Independencia deben ser promovidos como destinos ecoturísticos, ya que esta posee atracciones variadas.
Entre esos atractivos se contemplan el Parque Nacional Lago Enriquillo, la Isla Cabritos, Barbarita, La Islita y las sierras de Bahoruco y Neyba, con bosques donde habitan varias especies animales entre las que se destacan aves, iguanas, cocodrilos americanos, flamencos, así como humedales y manglares, entre otras especies de significativas bellezas que hacen de estos boscajes lugares impresionantes y exóticos y una zona que conserva una gran diversidad de especies endémicas.
En la sesión de este jueves, los diputados también aprobaron una resolución que solicita al presidente de la República disponer la inclusión en el Presupuesto General de la Nación del año 2021, la construcción e instalación de la casa del conductor en el municipio de Higüey, provincia La Altagracia.
El presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Alfredo Pacheco, al cerrar los trabajos de la sesión, convocó a sesionar el próximo martes a las 10:00 de la mañana.
