Santo Domingo.- Con la finalidad de asistir a la población durante el asueto de Semana Santa 2021, la Dirección Ejecutiva de la Defensa Civil convocó en el día de hoy a los 32 Directores Provinciales con que cuenta el organismo a nivel nacional, en el marco del plan operativo que han diseñado para esta ocasión.
La reunión estuvo encabezada por el Director Ejecutivo de la institución y Presidente de la Comisión Nacional de Emergencias, General de Brigada Rafael Antonio Carrasco Paulino, E.R.D., quien informó que han sido clausurados 237 balnearios en todo el país, a recomendación de los Comités de Prevención, Mitigación y Respuesta (PMR) ante Desastres que lideran los gobernadores y alcaldes, en los niveles provinciales y municipales.
“Desde ya, damos formal inicio a la etapa preventiva de nuestro Plan Operativo Semana Santa 2021, con el cual buscamos brindar una atención oportuna a las personas que se movilizarán hacia el interior, y que harán uso de las playas y ríos habilitados; a quienes queremos hacerles un llamado especial a la prudencia, y que sobretodo tomen en cuenta que esta pandemia que atravesamos producto del COVID-19 aún no ha terminado, por lo que no podemos bajar la guardia”, explicó el General Carrasco.
Señaló que para estos fines, dispondrán de 10,518 voluntarios y empleados distribuidos en 431 puestos en carreteras y 408 puestos de socorro ubicados en playas y balnearios; 14 puestos de niños y niñas extraviados; nueve unidades móviles de rescate equipadas con herramientas de extricación vehicular, ubicadas en puntos estratégicos; tres puestos de atención pre-hospitalaria; 313 médicos, paramédicos y técnicos en emergencias médicas; 16 ambulancias dotadas de medicamentos; nueve embarcaciones; 172 buzos y salvavidas; al igual que 12 oficiales supervisores.
Los puestos de atención pre-hospitalaria estarán ubicados uno en el kilómetro 89 de la autopista Duarte, próximo a la Plaza Jacaranda de la provincia Monseñor Nouel; y los demás en la playa de Boca Chica (en el muelle No. 1 y en las proximidades de la Armada de República Dominicana, cerca del Hotel Hamaca).
Medidas preventivas.
Con miras a mantener informada a la ciudadanía, la entidad se mantiene publicando a través de las distintas redes sociales como facebook, instagram, twitter, youtube, y su página web, las medidas preventivas y de seguridad sobre qué hacer antes y durante su viaje, para los casos que decidan trasladarse a algún lugar; igualmente, utilizan el programa radial “Alertas Defensa Civil”, para transmitir por este medio dichas informaciones. En la semana próxima, distribuirán brochures informativos y portarán cartelones en las principales intersecciones y calles de las provincias y el Distrito Nacional.
Además, realizarán bandereos en carreteras y colocarán figuras inanimadas con cartelones que poseen diversos mensajes, tales como: usar el cinturón de seguridad, respetar al peatón, cumplir los límites de velocidad, respetar las señales de tránsito, no ingerir bebidas alcohólicas ni usar el teléfono celular mientras conducen, y guardar una distancia prudente entre vehículos, en procura de evitar accidentes de tránsito; al igual que, recomendaciones esenciales para evitar la propagación y contagio del coronavirus, entre ellas: usar mascarillas correctamente, evitar aglomeraciones, lavarse las manos frecuentemente con agua y jabón, toser en el codo, al tiempo de conservar un mínimo de distancia de dos metros entre personas.
