El ministro de Salud Pública, Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas, informó hoy que la ocupación hospitalaria por casos de Covid-19 en el Gran Santo Domingo se redujo al 70 por ciento.
De acuerdo al boletín número 137 que emite la Dirección General de Epidemiología 1,173 personas se encuentran hospitalizadas en todo el país. Mientras 322 se encuentran en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, de los cuales 166 están bajo ventilación.
El doctor Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas dijo que 484 personas están ocupando camas en el Gran Santo Domingo; de los cuales 135 están en UCI, de ellos 76 están en ventilación para un total de 70 por ciento de ocupación hospitalaria.
En Santiago hay 364 personas hospitalizadas, 89 en UCI, 35 pacientes bajo ventilación para un 78 por ciento de ocupación de camas y 86 por ciento de capacidad en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos.
Ocupación hospitalaria
Mientras que en la provincia de San Francisco de Macorís hay 45 personas hospitalizado, para un 31 por ciento de ocupación. Mientras 17 personas están en ventilación par un 83 por ciento de ocupación.
En tanto en la provincia de La Vega se registra un 80 por ciento de ocupación de camas y 42 por ciento en UCI; mientras Puerto Plata tiene un 92 por ciento de ocupación y las 20 camas de UCI están ocupadas.
En ese orden, el ministro de Salud dijo que en el Hospital Regional doctor Antonio Musa, de San Pedro de Macorís, registra un 55 por ciento de ocupación de camas.
De los hospitalizados en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, el 41.92 por ciento de los pacientes están en centros de salud del Gran Santo Domingo; el 27.64 por ciento en Santiago y el 13.66 por ciento en Duarte.
El funcionario de Salud dijo que las muestras procesadas hasta la fecha son 268,529 con 1,685 en las últimas horas. En las últimas 4 semanas, la positividad de las muestras procesadas es de 35.16%.
Los casos confirmados de coronavirus aumentaron a 73,117 reportados con 874 nuevos. En tanto se registraron cinco nuevo fallecimientos para un acumulado de 1,183 defunciones.
La mediana de edad del total de casos: 38 años, rango intercuartílico de 28 a 52 años. El 52.04% (38,053) son hombres y el 70.17% (51,307) de los casos se concentra en 12 municipios.
En total, hay 260 trabajadores de la salud positivos para COVID-19, de los cuales 64.61% (168) corresponden al sexo femenino.
Por millón de habitantes, la tasa de letalidad es de 113.22 y por cada cien mil habitantes es de 11.32. Por lugar de residencia, el 77.26% (914) de los fallecidos corresponden a 12 municipios.
La mediana de edad de los fallecidos es de 66 años, rango intercuartílico de 52 a 76 años. El 66.53% (787) son hombres. Comorbilidades de los fallecidos: hipertensión arterial (34.74%) y diabetes (23.92%).
