Comisión Especial presentará informe sobre Defensor del Pueblo en la próxima sesión del Senado

Santo Domingo.  09-06-2021.- La Comisión Especial del Senado de la República designada para elegir al Defensor del Pueblo, suplentes y adjuntos concluyó su trabajo la tarde de este miércoles e informó que presentará su informe en la próxima sesión del Pleno del Senado de la República.

La reunión deliberativa fue encabezada por el presidente de la Comisión, el senador Lic. Ricardo de los Santos (Sánchez Ramírez); y participaron también los senadores Dionis Sánchez (Pedernales); Lía Díaz Santana (Azua); Franklin Romero (Duarte); Lic. Valentín Medrano (Independencia); Virgilio Cedano (La Altagracia); Antonio Marte (Santiago Rodríguez); Cristóbal Castillo (Hato Mayor); y Eddy Nolasco (Valverde).

La Comisión Especial entrevistó el pasado 20 de mayo a Fidel Santana Mejía, Henry Meran Gil y Pablo Ulloa Castillo, quienes aspiran a titulares de la Defensoría del Pueblo.

De igual modo, entrevistaron como aspirantes a suplentes y adjuntos a Darío Antonio Min, Miguel Berroa Natera, María Batista Mejía, Ana Martich Mateo, Migdalia Antonia Brown Isaac y María Ramos Abreu.

También, Miguel Puello Maldonado, Ruddy Frías Ángeles, Kelbinson Henríquez de la Cruz, Roberto Quiroz Canela, Ana Felipe Divanne y María Aurelia Genao.
