Comisión de Interior y Policía del Senado avanza en el estudio del Proyecto de Ley de control, expendio, suministro y consumo de bebidas alcohólicas

 Santo Domingo.24-3-2121.- La Comisión de Permanente de Interior y Policía y Seguridad Ciudadana se reunió este miércoles para continuar con el estudio del Proyecto de Ley de control, de expendio, suministro y consumo de bebidas alcohólicas, presentado por el senador Santiago José Zorrilla (El Seibo), vicepresidente del Senado de la República.

«Revisamos las observaciones y reajustes al proyecto de ley; en la próxima reunión lo vamos a socializar con el sector  público, que ha venido  trabajando con nosotros, luego lo presentaremos al sector privado. Invitaremos, además, a una comisión de la Cámara de Diputados para presentarle el trabajo que hemos venido realizando, y después presentarlo al Pleno”, dijo el presidente de la Comisión, Virgilio Cedano (La Altagracia).  

La iniciativa  tiene por objeto regular  la venta, el expendio y suministro gratuito  y consumo  de bebidas  alcohólicas, a la vez que fomenta  la responsabilidad  en el consumo  de las mismas en República Dominicana.  

En su artículo 3, sobre la licencia para expendio de bebidas alcohólicas, la pieza legislativa  establece que para que un centro de expendio o turístico pueda dedicarse o continuar  con la venta, expendio  o suministro  de bebidas  alcohólicas en envases abiertos  o cerrados, deberá obtener, por cada establecimiento, una licencia a ser emitida por el Ministerio de Interior y Policía.  

Estuvieron presentes en la reunión los senadores Virgilio Cedano (La Altagracia), presidente de la Comisión; el Dr. Cristóbal Castillo (Hato Mayor); Eddy Nolasco (Valverde); y Carlos Gómez (Espaillat).
