Colaboracion Entre La Alcaldia Miami Y Alcaldia Del Distrito Nacional.

 Ciudad de Miami. – Dando un paso sin precedentes en el marco de la planificación urbana de nuestra ciudad, el director de Planeamiento Urbano de la Alcaldía del Distrito Nacional, el arquitecto Mayobanex Suazo, fue recibido por el honorable alcalde de City of Miami, Francis Suárez, junto a él, el presidente de la comisión de la ciudad de Miami y comisionado del Distrito no. 2 Ken Russell, el ex senador estatal y comisionado del Distrito no. 1 Alex Díaz de la Portilla, y parte del equipo de la Oficina directora de Planeamiento de esta ciudad, como parte de un acercamiento colaborativo entre ambas ciudades en pos del beneficio de la planificación urbana de la ciudad de Santo Domingo. 

El acercamiento persigue principalmente fortalecer el marco normativo y regulatorio de nuestro territorio, aprovechando las experiencias y logros que ha tenido la ciudad de Miami.

El alcalde Francis Suárez expresó su satisfacción con este encuentro y saludó los esfuerzos realizados por la alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional Carolina Mejía, para generar las condiciones de un verdadero desarrollo urbano en el Distrito Nacional. Asimismo, el comisionado Ken Russell se expresó optimista con el acercamiento y enfatizó la importancia del mismo.

De igual manera el Comisionado Alex Díaz de la Portilla felicitó la decisión que busca fortalecer los lazos de hermandad de estas dos ciudades.

Suazo expresó que ha sido la instrucción de la Alcaldesa Carolina Mejía el concretizar estos acercamientos y acuerdos de colaboración dentro de la visión de proyectar el Distrito Nacional en el entorno de las ciudades globales, lo que busca garantizar para nuestra ciudad la mejora de los parámetros urbanos.

Este encuentro busca la colaboración principalmente, pero sin limitarse a: la optimización de los procesos de permisologia, supervisión y fiscalización de proyectos, así como la retroalimentación sobre la planificación normativa. Estas mejoras evidentemente crean un importante canal para la eficiencia en la gestión de Ciudad en el Distrito Nacional.
