CAASD lleva servicio de agua potable por primera vez al sector Nuevo Renacer en Santo Domingo Este

Es la primera vez que sus habitantes reciben el servicio desde la fundación de la localidad.
Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) concluyó los trabajos en la red de distribución e incorporó el servicio de agua potable en beneficio de cientos de familias en el sector Nuevo Renacer, del municipio Santo Domingo Este.
Así lo informó el director general de la CAASD, ingeniero Felipe Suberví, quien destacó que la institución ejecutó la instalación de redes de distribución y alrededor de 1,400 acometidas domiciliarias que suplirá la demanda de una población de más de 8,000 habitantes en la referida localidad.
En ese sentido, resaltó, que es la primera vez que sus residentes obtendrán en sus hogares el preciado líquido, indicando que desde que los representantes de esa comunidad le plantearon de la problemática, se procedió a realizar las labores correspondientes para entregar soluciones a la menor brevedad.
“No era que no tenían agua, era que nunca habían tenido ningún tipo de servicio, y por eso nosotros priorizamos la urgencia para entregar a esta comunidad una solución definitiva, para nosotros esto es algo histórico”, manifestó el funcionario.
Asimismo, indicó que la obra tuvo una inversión de 85 millones de pesos, señalando que las brigadas ejecutaron los trabajos en un periodo de 11 meses.
“No tenían ni redes, ni les llegaba agua de ninguna manera; hoy nosotros traemos el agua, lo que ellos tanto necesitan, porque nuestra responsabilidad es garantizar el servicio a la gente”, explicó el Ing. Suberví.
El titular de la CAASD puntualizó, que la misión de la institución que dirige es llevar servicio a la población del gran Santo Domingo, por ello los equipos técnicos laboran de manera permanente todos los días.

De su lado, los representantes de la comunidad mostraron gran satisfacción por la rápida respuesta del director de la CAASD ante su solicitud, destacando que es la primera vez que las autoridades acuden a su llamado.
“Fellito Suberví ha dado respuesta a esa imperiosa necesidad del agua potable para nuestra comunidad”, precisaron.
Mientras que el alcalde del distrito municipal Rodolfo Valera señaló que ese proyecto tenía muchos años en carpeta por falta de voluntad, resaltando la inversión por parte del Gobierno Central para solucionar de manera definitiva el problema del agua en la demarcación.
“No solo en el Nuevo Renacer que hoy se abre la válvula para los fines de que el pueblo ya comience a recibir ese preciado líquido, sino que se está invirtiendo porque el presidente Luis Abinader tiene esa prioridad con el tema del agua”, expresó el funcionario municipal.
De su lado, la presidenta de la junta de vecinos de la localidad Guillermina Martínez dijo que llevaban décadas a la espera de recibir el servicio en sus hogares, agradeciendo al director de la CAASD por convertir en realidad el sueño esperado por años.
“Gracias a la gestión de Fellito Suberví podemos decir que vamos a disfrutar de agua potable totalmente libre de contaminación”, expresó.
