SANTO DOMINGO, 2 de marzo de 2021. – El Ministerio de Agricultura fortalecerá el sector avícola para armonizar los precios del huevo, que se han visto afectados por las alzas de los insumos internacionales utilizados en su producción.
El anuncio lo hizo el ministro Limber Cruz, quien informó que está trabajando con la Asociación Dominicana de Avicultura (ADA) en estrategias para fomentar el sector sin afectar los precios del consumidor.
Dijo que en los próximos días se anunciarán varias medidas para mitigar los precios actuales del huevo, como la compra de miles de unidades a menos de cinco pesos, las cuales serán adquiridas directamente en la finca del productor y comercializadas a través del Instituto de Estabilización de Precios (INESPRE).
“Vamos a penetrar el mercado con las Bodegas Móviles, vamos a surtir los mercados con huevos a bajo costo. Es llegar y comprar en granjas y vender inmediatamente”, indicó el ministro al participar este martes en el programa Hoy Mismo.
Para paliar los efectos de los precios de los insumos internacionales utilizados en la crianza de pollos y cerdos con fines comerciales y de esta manera brindar apoyo a los productores, Cruz impulsa un programa de siembra de maíz y sorgo de alta calidad genética en todo el país de más de 300 mil tareas.
