Santo Domingo. – El Sistema Nacional de Atención a Emergencias y Seguridad 911 realizó en el día de hoy el acto de entrega de 33 nuevas ambulancias completamente equipadas al Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), a través de la Dirección de Servicios de Atención a Emergencias Extrahospitalarias.
El acto estuvo encabezado por el ministro de la Presidencia y presidente del Consejo Nacional del Sistema 9-1-1, Joel Santos y contó con la presencia del director de Servicios de Atención a Emergencias Extrahospitalarias del SNS, mayor general retirado, Juan Manuel Méndez; el director ejecutivo del Sistema 911, coronel piloto, Randolfo Rijo Gómez, ERD; el subdirector del Sistema 911 teniente coronel piloto, Harold Jiménez Polanco, ERD; el subdirector de la Dirección de Servicios de Atención a Emergencias Extrahospitalarias, doctor Pablo Mateo, y el doctor Jhoan Martínez, encargado de gestiones prehospitalarias del SNS.
El ministro de la Presidencia, Joel Santos, resaltó que “la institución alcanzó el hito de apoyar con una flotilla compuesta por 120 modernas unidades de ambulancias al SNS, en diversos actos efectuados durante el año 2022, debido a su condición de agencia de respuesta integrada al 911”.
“Este parque vehicular especializado fue adquirido y equipado para el reforzamiento de la asistencia prehospitalaria brindada a todos los dominicanos y residentes en las 25 provincias del país donde tiene presencia este servicio público gratuito”, indicó Santos.
Mientras, el director ejecutivo del Sistema 911, Rijo Gómez, destacó el compromiso de la entidad para el fortalecimiento sistemático de la calidad del servicio ofrecido, al precisar que “asumimos el interés del Gobierno dominicano de dar prioridad a la salud de la población, a fin de garantizarle una mejor calidad de vida. Razón por la que apoyamos de modo significativo al SNS, siendo una de las principales instituciones de respuesta que conforman el 9-1-1”.
“En este sentido, el parque vehicular entregado hoy cuenta con tecnología avanzada creada por el talento humano del 9-1-1, como es el nuevo “Selector de Unidades” que consiste en un sistema automatizado que permitirá a nuestros despachadores identificar y recomendar las unidades que podrán llegar a las emergencias en el menor tiempo posible, considerando su ubicación, el flujo del tránsito y el tiempo en acudir a la situación reportada; Además, las ambulancias estarán equipadas con una tableta instalada destinada a ejecutar la aplicación de “Ruta Rápida”, para dirigir al conductor a través del trayecto más expedito, considerando, en tiempo real, el estado del tránsito en la zona del evento”, subrayó Rijo.
Mientras, el mayor general retirado, Méndez, recibió la nueva flotilla y agradeció el esfuerzo del Sistema 911, comprometiéndose en “destinar estas unidades a la renovación y reforzamiento vehicular; así como a la mejora constante de la calidad del servicio brindado a los usuarios que requieren la asistencia a sus situaciones críticas de salud».
