SANTO DOMINGO.- El presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Alfredo Pacheco, explicó que para la próxima semana ese órgano legislativo aprobará las ternas que se enviarán al Senado sobre el Defensor del Pueblo y sus adjuntos y de los miembros de la Cámara de Cuentas.
Al conversar en el hemiciclo, Pacheco aclaró que la escogencia de las ternas, tanto para el Defensor del Pueblo, sus suplentes y sus adjuntos y lo relativo a los miembros de la Cámara de Cuentas, se pretendía hacer en la sesión de este jueves, pero que, debido a consultas con el liderazgo de la Cámara, la misma fue aplazada.
Sostuvo que las comisiones que estudian la conformación de las sextetas y las quintetas se han estado reuniendo y todavía quedan algunos toquecitos que terminar de darles a las propuestas que presentarán al Pleno.
“Que ocurre, andan cantidades de especulaciones, cuando nosotros no hemos informado oficialmente que las dos comisiones han presentado ya al Pleno estas sextetas y estas quintetas”, explicó Pacheco.
Indicó que las comisiones les informaron que de aquí a la semana que viene se van a reunir y harán cualquier ajuste que sea necesario.
“Quiero señalar que, en el caso del Defensor del Pueblo, aunque se toman notas, esas notas son un referente para que los legisladores tengan a bien evaluar y tener algún criterio para poder recomendarle las ternas al Senado”, manifestó.
Sostuvo que la Cámara de Diputados no está en la obligación de presentar las ternas en el orden de las notas que obtuvieron esas personas, al tiempo de aclarar que los únicos que llevan notas son los del Defensor del Pueblo.
Alfredo Pacheco manifestó que a la Cámara de Diputados tan solo le corresponde presentar, en ambos casos, las ternas para el Defensor del Pueblo, su suplente y sus adjuntos como para los miembros de la Cámara de Cuentas.
Aclaró que el Senado de la República es quien finalmente hace la elección de los miembros de las ternas.
