Ministra de la Juventud Kimberly Taveras pide una licencia para ser investigada por su patrimonio

 Kimberly Taveras, pidió una licencia al presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, y se puso a disposición para  ser investigada sobre sus bienes declarados en su declaración presentada ante la Cámara de Cuentas. 

La ministra Taveras dijo que en razón «de los ataques» ha decidido solicitar al presidente de la República una licencia sin disfrute de sueldo para actuar como ciudadana y se puso a la disposición de la justicia para que la que investiguen.

Este fin de semana la directora de Ética, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, pidió a la Procuraduría General de la República darle prioridad a la investigación sobre los bienes de la ministra de la Juventud.

Taveras dijo que esa era una decisión personal y apartada del Gobierno que encabeza Luis Abinader.

La ministra ha sido cuestionada por su declaración jurada de bienes ante la Cámara de Cuentas. La periodista Nuria Piera, en su programa de investigación, ha realizado varias denuncias sobre la manera en la que la ministra se hizo con contratos millonarios en varias alcaldías del país. 

Este día la Procuraduría Especializada en Materia de Corrupción informó que procederán a entrevistar a la ministra de la Juventud, en el ámbito de las investigaciones que comienzan sobre este caso.

La rueda de prensa de la ministra se produjo en el restaurante Maniquí, de la Plaza de la Cultura, donde llegó acompañada de sus dos abogados. 

El domingo, a través de un vídeo publicado en sus redes sociales, Taveras aseguró que acudió a la entrevista con la periodista Nuria Piera para hablar de su declaración jurada de bienes, que el tema no fue tratado en su totalidad «y se habló de un contrato que tenía la empresa de su hermana mayor quien se dedicaba a lo mismo que ella».
