Nació el 29 de octubre de 1941, fue dirigente, activista político y cultural; catedrático universitario, libretista, articulista de periódicos nacionales. Se le conocía también como “Narcisazo”, para diferenciarlo de otra persona que llevaba el mismo nombre.

Se graduó de abogado en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD). Se desempeñó como profesor universitario en esa academia de estudios desde 1968 hasta la  fecha de su detención y desaparición. Para entonces, ocupaba el cargo de Director del Departamento de Extensión Cultural. También ocupó puestos de dirección en el Movimiento Popular Dominicano y en la Federación de Estudiantes Dominicanos. Es escritor y poeta.

Narciso González,  publicaba columnas de humor político en los periódicos  El Sol y  La Noticia, elaboraba guiones para programas de televisión, fundó el semanario de humor político Tirabuzón, fundó y dirigió la revista  “El callejón con salida” y promovía el Comité Gestor de la Sociedad de Animadores de la Cultura y la Democracia (SACUDE). También se destacó por su capacidad poética de denuncia a través de la columna “El pueblo se queja en versos” que publicaba el diario La Noticia y por ser  el libretista de la sección de humor “Tano cao”, que se transmitía por “El Show del Mediodía”. Pero sobretodo fue un fiel opositor del extinto presidente Joaquín Balaguer. Se caracterizó por mantener una postura de firme oposición al régimen de Balaguer, de quien llegó a afirmar que era “lo más perverso”.

En las aulas universitarias sus prédicas contra el gobierno de Balaguer no se hacían esperar y era visto con frecuencia colaborando con grupos comunitarios, generalmente cercanos a la oposición.

Poseedor de un agudo y fino nivel literario, con frecuencia concebía artículos y consignas de carácter políticos, haciéndolas acompañar de “décimas” (especie de versos elaboradas habitantes de las comunidades rurales).

La verticalidad de su postura opositora al régimen de Balaguer le valió la pérdida de empleos en medios de comunicación y se dedicó por su cuenta a producir revistas humoristas de corte político en los que satirizaba a los dirigentes en el poder y de la oposición de derecha. Sus afiches, muchas veces pagados con su salario de catedrático universitario, aparecían continuamente en las calles de Santo Domingo, las paredes de la UASD y de Clubes Culturales, a los que contribuyó a formar para “oponerse a la penetración cultural norteamericana”,  sobre todo en las décadas de los años ’70 y ’80.

En las explanadas de la universidad estatal se le veía dictar charlas a los estudiantes, que lo veían como un profesor democrático “abanderado de los pobres”. Conocía al dedillo la biografía del guerrillero cubano argentino Ernesto -Che- Guevara, cuyos ideales decía admirar, mientras se mostraba orgulloso de los éxitos de la Revolución Cubana.

En terrenos de la UASD, se mostraba como un crítico severo de sus compañeros de cátedras que “negaban los postulados del Movimiento Renovador”, un fenómeno surgido en la academia estatal en procura de su democratización para hacerla más accesible a los sectores de menos ingresos. Ese Movimiento Renovador definió a la UASD como una institución de carácter científico que promovía la investigación, la docencia y la extensión, mientras era decidida partidaria de defender la soberanía nacional.

Con el avance del tiempo, el “fervor revolucionario” disminuyó en República Dominicana, pero Narcisazo mantuvo la firmeza de su postura.

Las posibles razones de su desaparición, es posible que obedezcan a que días antes de las elecciones del 1994, Narciso González Medina había publicado una columna de opinión en la revista  La Muralla titulada: “10 pruebas que demuestran que Balaguer es lo más perverso que ha surgido en América”.

En dicha columna, calificaba a Joaquín Balaguer como “asesino”, “pandillero”, “inmoral”, “delincuente”, “pervertidor”, “servil”, “tramposo”, “dañino”, “miserable” y “desfalcador”. Luego de esa publicación, fue objeto de seguimiento.

El 25 de mayo de 1994 Narciso González Medina pronunció un discurso durante una asamblea de profesores de la UASD, en el cual solicitó al Consejo Universitario y al Rector que la UASD asumiera una posición de condena frente a lo ocurrido en las elecciones de nueve días atrás.

En su discurso, Narcisazo señaló como principales beneficiarios del fraude electoral a los jefes de la Policía, del Ejército y de la Fuerza Aérea, a quienes, según el periodista, el Presidente  Balaguer habría entregado fuertes sumas de dinero como garantía de su permanencia en el Poder Ejecutivo:

El discurso fue filmado y cuando Narciso González ya se encontraba desaparecido, fue transmitido por los medios de comunicación. Algunos testimonios sugieren que el discurso fue grabado por el Servicio de Inteligencia del Estado.

En los días previos a la desaparición de Narcisazo, oficiales militares acudieron a una funcionaria de CODETEL (Compañía Dominicana de Teléfonos) que habitualmente colaboraba con “los organismos de seguridad” a fin de lograr “la intervención del número a la señora del profesor Narciso González”.

 El 26 de mayo de 1994 Narciso González Medina desapareció de sus actividades cotidianas.

 Varios testimonios indican que Narcisazo fue visto en la misma fecha y en los días siguientes en varias dependencias estatales, en malas condiciones físicas.
