Además, se notificaron 428 nuevos infectados elevando a 86, 737 la cantidad total de casos confirmados desde la llegada de la enfermedad. El reporte indicó que la tasa de letalidad acumulada es de 1.71 por ciento.
Del total de casos acumulados (86,737), el 35.91 por ciento corresponde a activos con 31,148 pacientes luchando contra la enfermedad.
Mientras que 54,108 contagiados han rebasado la enfermedad.
Según el boletín epidemiológico, hasta la fecha se han procesado 324,463 muestras PCR, 2,407 en las últimas 24 horas. Los casos descartados suman 237,726.
El informe apuntó que hay 267 trabajadores de la salud positivos al coronavirus, de los cuales el 64.79 por ciento (173) corresponde al sexo femenino.
De la cantidad de positivos, 6,835 están en aislamiento hospitalario, mientras que 24,313 se encuentran en aislamiento domiciliario.
En Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) permanecen 295 pacientes; 43.73 por ciento en centros del Gran Santo Domingo, un 26.78 por ciento en Santiago y 25.08 por ciento en Duarte.
En las últimas cuatro semanas, la positividad en las muestras procesadas alcanzó un 31.33 por ciento.
Del total de casos confirmados, el 51.42 por ciento (44,602) corresponde a personas del sexo masculino, y la mediana de edad es de 38 años, con un rango intercuartílico de entre 28 y 52 años.
Además, el 69.89 por ciento (60,622) de los casos se concentra en 12 municipios.
Fallecimientos
Por el lugar de residencia, el 71.78 por ciento (1,063) de los fallecidos se registraron en 12 municipios. La media de edad de los muertos es de 68 años, rango intercuartílico de 54 a 77 años. El 65.90 por ciento (976) son hombres.
Las comorbilidades de los fenecidos corresponden a hipertensión arterial, en 34.57 por ciento, y a diabetes, un 22.42 por ciento.
Hasta este jueves se han reportado 1,481 muertes por coronavirus a nivel nacional, de las que 829 están confirmadas y 652 conforman los casos probables de muertos por COVID-19.
