Santo Domingo. – A fin de garantizar el aprendizaje en las escuelas a partir de un sistema educativo renovado, el Ministro de Educación, Ángel Hernández, presentó las acciones de su gestión para que las aulas se conviertan en espacios donde los niños puedan aprender con los más altos estándares de calidad.
Al participar en el Foro Regional Virtual Educa Gran Caribe 2022, que se desarrolla en la Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE), Hernández puntualizó que dentro de los ejes claves que se impulsan para la transformación del sistema educativo está modificar la Ley General de Educación 66-97, una normativa que será adaptada a los tiempos actuales para brindar a los niños, niñas y adolescentes contenido educativo reformado a partir de un currículo más eficiente.
Destacó que se ha dispuesto la duplicación de los fondos al Instituto Nacional de Formación y Capacitación del Magisterio (INAFOCAM), para que los más de 120 mil docentes que conforman el sistema reciban competencias que estén a la altura de los tiempos actuales para hacer el proceso educativo más eficiente.
Al ofrecer la conferencia “Futuro de la educación”, el Ministro Hernández subrayó que impulsarán el uso de las tecnologías en los procesos educativos, especialmente para los primeros cuatro años de escolaridad, “debido a que históricamente en estos grados se ha producido un gran déficit de aprendizaje, agravado por la pandemia”.
“La educación híbrida debe ser parte integral de las políticas públicas en educación, pero cuidando la calidad de los contenidos educativos y la gestión del proceso de aprendizaje”, aclaró el Ministro, en el foro en el que también participaron el doctor Franklin García Fermín, Ministro de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCYT); Rafael Féliz, titular del Ministerio de la Juventud; Adelino Sousa, director ejecutivo de Virtual Educa; así como, José A. Aybar Martín, rector de UNICARIBE.
Hernández enfatizó que para lograr que en las aulas se obtengan resultados de calidad, el sistema debe tener docentes motivados y resilientes; padres vinculados activamente al centro educativo; disciplina en el uso del tiempo destinado al aprendizaje de los niños en las aulas y las tareas del hogar; y que las escuelas se transformen en espacios de disfrute y en donde los alumnos deseen permanecer.
Sobre ese último punto, agregó que “esto apela no solo a las cualidades del contenido curricular, que debe ser de utilidad, sino también a los medios de que dispone el centro y a los métodos de trabajo del docente que deben ser activos, en base a proyectos y resolución de problemas”.
De su lado, el Ministro García Fermín reconoció los esfuerzos que ha estado haciendo el Ministerio de Educación a favor del bienestar y desarrollo de los niños, niñas y adolescentes del país. Indicó que los tiempos actuales son propicios para que todos los actores del sistema educativo nacional se encaminen por el sendero de la innovación.
Segundo día del foro
El Foro Regional Virtual Educa Gran Caribe 2022, llevado a cabo en la Universidad del Caribe, finalizará este martes, día en que habrá una conferencia a cargo del canciller de la Universidad Espíritu Santo de Ecuador titulada “Innovación constante en la educación superior: caso Universidad Espíritu Santo”.
Además, se llevarán a cabo paneles con la participación de diferentes actores que estarán bajo la moderación de la doctora Rosalía Sosa, vicerrectora de Extensión de la UASD; la doctora Zoraima Cuello, vicerrectora ejecutiva; Germán Álvarez, vicerrector de Transformación Digital de UNICARIBE; Magdalena Cruz, vicerrectora de Universidad Abierta para Adultos (UAPA), además del doctor José Ramón Holguín Brito, viceministro de la Presidencia, y Ricardo Winter, presidente de AUPI.
