Las intervenciones abarcarán sectores del Distrito Nacional y la provincia Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo. – El director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Felipe Suberví, encabezó junto al coordinador de la Unidad Ejecutora para la Readecuación de la Barquita y Entornos (URBE), Nelson Camilo, un recorrido por el Proyecto Nuevo Domingo Savio, donde ejecutarán labores en conjunto que favorecerán a miles de familias que viven en condiciones de vulnerabilidad.

El funcionario declaró que el objetivo de la visita es la supervisión de los trabajos de las obras que se realizan, como la adecuación de la zona a la ribera del río Ozama, que incluye la vía “Paseo del Río”.

Detalló que la referida vía tendrá un total de cuatro carriles, que incluyen saneamiento pluvial y sanitario.

Además, las intervenciones que se ejecutarán junto a URBE en la segunda etapa de saneamiento de la cañada de Bonavides, en beneficio de miles de familias de los barrios Los Guandules, La Ciénaga, Guachupita y otros de la parte alta del Distrito Nacional.

“La finalidad es garantizar los niveles de salubridad en estos sectores que están en los alrededores del Ozama”, destacó Suberví.

Así mismo, inspeccionó la primera etapa de la carretera que bordeará toda la orilla del Río afluente hasta conectar con la avenida José Francisco Caamaño (avenida del Puerto), así como los espacios donde se encuentran las cañadas a intervenir y la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales.

Durante el recorrido, el titular de la CAASD también visitó el Parque Ecológico Fluvial La Barquita Vieja, que tiene como objetivo regenerar ambientalmente alrededor de 15 hectáreas de suelo público protegido en el sector Los Mina Norte, anexado al Cachón De La Rubia, ubicado en el municipio Santo Domingo Este.

En este punto, el ingeniero verificó los avances de una unidad de tratamiento de aguas residuales que beneficiará a una población de más de 6,000 habitantes del barrio Puerto Rico y otros sectores de la zona.

Felipe Suberví estuvo acompañado por el subdirector de la CAASD, Francisco Campusano; la encargada de la Unidad Ejecutora de Proyectos, Marcelle Ríos; el titular de Operaciones, Luis Salcedo; el encargado de Servicios Sociales, Manuel Núñez; el director técnico, Ray Robert Torres, y otros funcionarios de la institución.

Por la URBE, además de su coordinador Nelson Camilo, estuvo presente Wilton Fernández, y otros ejecutivos.
