Defensa Civil refuerza presencia en Autovía del Nordeste

El director ejecutivo de la Defensa Civil, Juan Salas, dispuso este viernes el reforzamiento del personal y unidades de respuesta en la Autovía del Nordeste, que conecta a Santo Domingo con la península de Samaná. 

La medida busca enviar un mensaje de prevención y prudencia a la gran cantidad de personas que se desplazan por esta vía en estas fechas especiales, así como garantizar una respuesta rápida a cualquier emergencia que pueda presentarse. 

Para tales fines, Salas dispuso la instalación de un puesto de socorro en la entrada de Pueblo Nuevo, compuesto por médicos, paramédicos, brigadistas, técnicos en rescate y voluntarios; una unidad móvil de rescate con herramientas de extricación vehicular, para casos de accidentes de tránsito donde quedan personas atrapadas; una ambulancia dotada con equipos y medicamentos para una oportuna atención pre-hospitalaria y una camioneta.

Salas recordó que a nivel nacional trabajan 9,305 héroes naranja de la Defensa Civil, distribuidos en 355 puestos de socorro. 

Mencionó además la habilitación de dos puestos de atención pre-hospitalaria, uno debajo del puente Juan Carlos (entre la Autopista Las Américas y la Avenida Charles de Gaulle) y otro en el kilómetro 87 1/2 de la Autopista Duarte, provincia Monseñor Nouel.

La primera etapa del operativo “Conciencia por la Vida, Navidad y Año Nuevo 2021-2022”, inició este jueves 23 y culminará el 25 de diciembre a las 6:00 de la tarde.
