Santo Domingo.- El Presidente Luis Abinader emitió el Decreto 506-22 que designa a Luisa Ysabel Ovando de Sánchez como presidenta ejecutiva del Consejo Nacional para la Niñez y la Adolescencia (CONANI).

Luisa Ysabel Ovando de Sánchez

Desde 1982 es médico gastroenteróloga endoscopista. En la actualidad, funge como directora del Servicio Social del Ayuntamiento del Distrito Nacional.

En su transitar profesional, ha sido presidenta de la Sociedad Dominicana de Gastroenterología, así como tesorera, y pertenece al consejo de directores del Centro Médico Dominicano.

Además, Ovando Sánchez es casada, madre de tres hijos y tiene seis nietos. También domina el idioma inglés y como evangélica protestante, es presidenta de la Fundación Jehová Jireh.
